How do I get pay in 4 back after losing it?

I had pay in 4 and I messed up and was late for 2 payments. It’s been over a year, and I still haven’t been able to use it again. I tried contacting customer care and asking what I can do to get it back and no one can really give me an answer. One of the things was “have a positive relationship with PayPal” I don’t know what that means. Do I need to make more purchases with PayPal for a while? Do I need a higher credit score? What can I do to get this privilege back please?

As far as I am aware its automated so if you miss payments then when the credit check is run you are excluded.

Not sure if and when you may get it back again. Why bother using it? Just save up 4 payments and buy the item outright?
