Logging In/Username

I cannot find a way to go in and do a simple username change/update. What in this world am I missing that I see no option to do something so elementary??!!!

When I sign in to my PayPal everyone has a username, for example @username.  I'm trying to change that user name and it's just about impossible!!!!!

You log in to your paypal account either by your mobile number or email address / password OR fingerprint / PIN or facial recog if using the app.

One last time.  I am logged in. I have been using PayPal for years.  I NOW need to change my user name that is now @jamiesdog.  I don't even know where that came from but I want it changed!!  I have searched everywhere to find out how to change it and every time it leads me to a dead end!!
