password maxium character limit is set to 20

I created my PayPal account nearly 10 years ago, and have been using it very regularly since. PayPal has always met my needs and been where I wanted it to be. I love the service.

BUT. I remember when I created the account, I had to use an older password, because all the ones I was using at the time where too long.

And what's the status on that issue in 2023, 10 years later??

The password character limit is still 20!! What the hell are you doing guys! This is not acceptable....

Nowadays I use 20-28 char. passwords everywhere, but I am also considering moving to pass-phrases where I can...

I don't want to replace such a reliable service tho. I love PayPal. But we need more focus from the devs on the security!

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.

I tried changing my password yesterday and found out you don't allow more than 20 characters. Are you serious? I use 64-character passwords everywhere else for security, and you limit us to 20?

What’s the point of this? Limiting passwords length is ridiculous. Can you fix this and let us use longer passwords?
