Accept a PayPal payment for an ecard ' gift card on Craigslist.

I'm wanting to accept a PayPal payment for an ecard ' gift card I have on Craigslist.

If I verify the payment in my PayPal account before emailing buyer the gift card #s, would this be ok?

Or is there something else the buyer could do to scam me?
