How do I cancel an old account that I can't login to?

I want to close an old PayPal account, but I can't login to it. It has an old phone number that I don't have anymore linked to it so when it asks to verify by phone, I can't. So how can I close the account?

Ask customer services if they can verify you another way ie security questions and close it for you.

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.

Im wanting to cancel mine too because it was originally started with thailand as my country by mistake. no one seems to be able me because its a thailand acct. i live in iowa in the usa plz someone help me change countries on my profile. its linked to my email and wont even let me set up a new acct. the problem im having is in shipping because every one sends it to thailand

@kernowlass I just wanted to say thank you for your helpful advice. Although I was fortunate enough to login without calling them and was able to close my account. I'm sure calling them would have worked if I wasn't able to get into my account, which in the beginning I couldn't. Maybe with all the failed attempts I had it just needed some time, I don't know. I'm glad I was able to close the account. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it a lot.
