Hi @klayton22,

If a false date of birth was used, the limitation will not be removed. This is both in compliance with the law and their User Agreement. You could be permitted to open a new account, with the correct date of birth selected, at the sole discretion of PayPal only.

Please click here to contact PayPal Customer Service. Explain to them the reason behind the limitation, which was falsified personal information, but that you are now over 18 and would like to request permission to open a new account.

I cannot confirm whether or not this will be permitted, however it is worth a shot. Please remember that PayPal take this kind of offence seriously, which means in some cases, they may decide it would be in the best interests of both parties to disallow future use of their services.

Please do not open a new account without prior permission, as they may place another limitation on it, which will only inconvenience you further.

Please also understand that fraud > material falsehood is a serious matter and if this were a normal bank, they could have closed your account with a CIFAS fraud marker, which would have shattered your ability to obtain a future current account or credit services.

@klayton22

Bad luck, hopefully they 'may' let you open one at 18.
