No help available in Australia - Account Access

I am trying to access a paypal account but I have no access to the mobile number as I have moved to a different country since I last used it.

When I click on 'forgot your password' It ONLY gives me the option to recover using that defunct mobile number.

Here is Australia, there is no contact number for paypal support so I am left desperately asking the community for advice.

To head off some replies: I cannot login to the app to change anything because I cannot log in to the account in any way, shape, or form.

Also, this forum is the most un-user-friendly thing I've seen since the 90s

Sorry the forum is un user friendly, do you want us to give up our time to help you?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

You can however add a U.S bank account (not card) to 'most' other countries paypal accounts. This is because paypal is a U.S company and so allows this.

Firstly, my point about the forum being un-user-friendly has nothing to do with the users and is a point about the design and functionality of the site. You know this but have chosen to ignore it.

Secondly, you have just recycled the entirely unhelpful advice you seem to just copy-and-paste on to all queries of this nature. This is made glaringly obvious by the fact that you tell me to contact customer services when my post is about the fact that there is no way to do this in Australia.

Perhaps it would be wise to take some time away from this forum as it appears that your many, many, many, contributions have become automatic and clearly without thought or attention.

You're welcome.

I could give you contact information for Australia if that is what you wanted but guess that information would be one of my many contributions that have become automated.

Strange that folks have thanked me for that information in the past as it has helped them.

Nevermind, bye then.
