I made a PayPal account when i turned 18, which was 2 and a half years ago. At the time, i really didn't have any reason to use PayPal, nor was i very knowledgeable when it comes to how it works .Still, i wanted to have it because people told me to make one because it's very safe and easy to use. I stuck with Visa mostly because i was buying stuff online and wasn't involved in any money transactions, so money conversion wasn't needed at the time and also because i'm from Europe, so it is kind of rare in some places to see people using PayPal for whatever reason.
To the point, at the time i had put a phone number just to make everything as secure as possible and connected it to my debit card. As you may already guess, i never used it ever since. And since then i had changed dozens of SIM cards. A few months ago i started streaming on Twitch as a hobby. Things took a wild turn and people were requesting to donate. In order for that to happen, i needed a PayPal account. I said to myself : "Great, i can use my PayPal that i made 2 and a half years ago!" . I went over to the website and tried logging in. It said that i had to reset my password for security reasons. I said : "Alright, no biggie". I logged into my email and confirmed the code, but then a window appeared asking me to confirm the code from that OLD and very much expired phone number. Now, i am pretty sure that the phone number finished somewhere out of this world or is perhaps someplace deep in the dumpster. So i panicked. I immediately contacted PayPal support via email AND Facebook. After days of waiting and struggling to get in touch with an actual agent, i got in touch with 2 agents. One told me to leave my current phone number so that they could call me and help me out (calling Europe or USA is already expensive, especially if you are living in a poor country). I did and nothing happened. Then after another complaint, another agent finalized my complaint by telling me to call them. I have no money to call that long, whatever long digit number. I politely requested for them to check my information as i was willing to even give them my passwords, emails and credit card information. They declined (for whatever reason). I am now stuck with a somewhat potentially profitable brand but no payment option for profit. I am very disappointed and i just simply don't know what to do. I tried making another account but they are not allowing me to connect my debit card unless i unlink it from my old account. I beg for whoever sees this to try and help me out. If i lived in the states, calling them would be a no problem for me (even though i heard people say that they wait on lines and their SIM card credit is basically being spent every single minute). Please help me resolve this because whenever i turn i see "PayPal" this and "PayPal" that. It sucks how i am unable to access my account because of an expired phone number.

Click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US and select the PAYPAL GUEST option since you are locked out of that account. Do not be logged on to any account when accessing the guest option as paypal won’t discuss an account from another account.
You are responsible for keeping all your information name, billing address, PHONE NUMBER, payment methods updated. PayPal accounts these days can get pretty complicated to keep up to date, with all these little steps you got to do and certain ways/order you have to do it.
You have no choice but to keep calling/contacting PayPal as above or get an entirely new card to link to a new account if you can't afford to call. Maybe add your current phone number as "Home" and skip the phone texting features and keep it at password log in only if you're not detail oriented, and this works on the app and website, too.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
