Cannot add Bank Account

Dear All,

I am from Hungary and am struggling with adding my Raiffeisen Bank account to my PayPal. I was using the debit card with PayPal since ages and not once I had any issues, it was always working flawlessly, I also confirmed the card recently. However, when I type my Bank name and account number on PayPal's website (it can be 16-24 characters long and mine is 24 characters) it gives me the error "We cannot process this for you right now", or something like this...very similar.  I have never ever linked this bank account to PayPal since I've never been able to because of this but I got some money which I would like to transfer to my account. I didn't try calling PayPal yet because I think there might be a different name in their system instead of "Raiffeisen Bank" for the name, not sure but they are not really helpful on chat though.

Please if anyone has an idea how to solve this, it would be very much appreciated.

hi! did you solve this problem? i am in the exact same situation. i saw on the croatian raiffeisen website that you can only withdraw to visa card...? anyway im willing to open another bank account if that will work 100%. would appreciate your answer. thanks virag

Hi,

No, it hasn't been solved till this day. In the meanwhile, I was able to contact PayPal regarding this and they told me, that "any account number which is ending in "001" is not acceptable by the system, they are aware of it and are trying to fix this. 

This was a couple of months ago...nothing happened, so I guess you will need to use a different account, sadly.

at least its promising that you could get in touch with paypal. i also wrote them and hope they will reply soon. my account ends with 004 so it must be something else but its very useful information thank you! imagine the bank employees face when ill open my new account and say "it cant end with 001"... hahah its not even funny its sad its 2021 come oooon
