PayPal Holding payment, delivery won’t update

So I recently sold an item to a buyer through depop and I added the tracking number as well to the order and the package was delivered to the buyer 3 days ago via USPS Tracking website, yet it’s still showing on the PayPal tracking as “shipped”. I can’t receive my payment because it’s on hold and it won’t come off of hold until the tracking updates as delivered. I contacted support yesterday and the associate told me the only way I could receive my payment sooner is by contacting the buyer and telling them to confirm the payment as delivered. I told the buyer to do as such and she’s not responding, what do I do? Do I have to wait out the full 21 days to receive the payment ?

Did you add the tracking number to the transaction in your paypal account or just on depop?

Yes I updated the tracking on PayPal and depop as well

I'm sorry to hear your funds are still on hold, Parisijones. 

 

That can certainly be frustrating. Generally, PayPal receives their updates for tracking information directly from the carrier. If there is a delay in receiving that information, it would be best to contact PayPal Customer Service directly.

 

They can manually confirm the item's delivery with the provided tracking information to assist you.
