Sportsbook betting issue

Hello all, I seem to be having an issue with my PayPal account when I want to deposit money into a sports booking app. When I hit deposit and log into my PayPal It seems to be stuck in a loop almost and It goes so fast I don’t get to hit any buttons then it takes me back to the main page. I know it’s an issue with my PayPal because it happens to the other sports betting app I’m using as well. The message says “ sorry, you can only make payments to this merchant using balance or a confirmed bank account “. Both are confirmed and I do have a balance in my account. Someone please help. I’m having the same issue, even after depositing via PayPal multiple times in the past. PayPal message center and on the phone have been useless. Don’t know what else to do.

Yes just spent a ton of time with customer service trying to resolve. Any update? Having the exact issue as described

I've been having the same problem too.  Can someone at PayPal please reach out to assist? I've been trying to get this resolved for months. For years I made deposits many times at several different sportsbook apps in NJ and never had a problem. For the past month I get stuck halfway through the deposit process and then PayPal says "Sorry, you can only make payments to this merchant using balance or confirmed bank account." I have plenty in my balance so I don't understand what the issue is. Several reps at PayPal have said it is the sportsbook blocking it, but the sportsbooks all say it is PayPal.

Did a policy at PayPal change? Sportsbooks are legal in NJ. Is there a new government regulation about how to fund accounts? I've been on the phone with paypal for hours and still can't get any answers. Please help!
