2Step verification code, the phone number is old

I can not log in to my account. PayPal asks for 2Step verification but it can only send a text or call the phone number, but the phone number is my old number, which I can not use anymore so I can not get the verification code.

I contacted PayPal on Facebook and through e-mail but they send automatic messages back which do not help. I changed my password but still need verification code.

How can I talk to a PayPal colleague, who can help me to change my phone number?
