I requested payment for a sale of $375 and it's showing pending. Then I received an email in my spam folder saying that I'm not of business status and he needs to send me an additional $300 and they I would return the difference in a gift card. Is this legit?
SCAM, all you will get is FAKE paypal emails saying he has paid (he won't have) and the funds are released when you send him that gift card (you will get 0 money).
Paypal does not tell sellers to send gift cards for anything account related.
You also don't need a business account if you are not a business.
