I just received an SMS message stating that a purchase exceeding "the amount specified" was just approved on my PayPal credit account. I did make a purchase on Ebay, but well within any limits, and my PayPal credit account has a balance of just a few dollars. The amount charged to my account was consistent with the Ebay purchase and I've had much larger transactions on the same account....has anyone else been getting these confusing and concerning SMS messages from PayPal for typical low dollar Ebay transactions? Normally I'd suspect some type of phishing scam, but those contain a link to lure victims - this had no links or attachments.
