My understanding is that it is Airbnb that stopped allowing PayPal Credit. Very frustrating, especially when you are not notified of the changes and then you choose to pay with PayPal waiting for the credit option to appear and what happens is they immediately charge your regular account and take out the money. Both Airbnb and PayPal are negligent in not informing customers of this change. I had booked many times with PayPal credit until recently.
So...it's like a lottery...when you hit "PayPal" you don't know which option you're going to get? It doesn't make sense. I too expected to be able to use my "pay over time without interest" promotional purchases option. It ended up pulling the cash out of my linked bank account. So the question is...
DOES AIRBNB ACCEPT PAYPAL CREDIT? YES OR NO? If the answer is no, then we can lay this topic to rest.
The same issue, we had to cancel a booking and rebook it for later, the original booking made in March went through using PayPal credit, when went to rebook it it pulled it from the linked back account even though I'd selected PayPal credit.
