What's the difference between PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Payments Standard

 We've tried the integration way and it doesn't work sowill go back to the old setting but what's the difference between PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Payments Standard.

PayPal Express Checkout is the integrated checkout system aka PayPal Checkout. PayPal payments standard is simply the PayPal payment buttons, the quick and easy way to accept payments without the advanced programming involved.

In Opencart we have the options listed below but are using PayPal Express Checkout at the moment.

• PayPal Payflow Pro
• PayPal Payflow Pro iFrame
• PayPal Express Checkout
• PayPal (Powered by Braintree)
• PayPal Pro
• PayPal Payflow Pro iFrame
• PayPal Payments Standard

What's the best for customer payment options and easiest one to install to Opencart without lots of technical support?

I have looked on the PayPal developers page and it only gives Standard Checkout and Advanced Checkout and am confused doesn't match any of the above options in opencart.

PayPal Website Payments Standard and PayPal Express Checkout is legacy products.

Steps to integrate Checkout with Shopify.

Here's how:

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Payments.
4. Select PayPal Express Checkout within the PayPal module.
5. Click Activate.
6. Once directed to a PayPal login page, log in to your PayPal account and click I Give Permission.
7. Click Back to Shopify.
8. Under Payment Authorization, select:
   • Automatically capture payments for orders (Immediate Sale).
   • Manually capture payment for orders (Authorize only).
9. Click Save.

Please follow the below steps via your PayPal account. 

Login PayPal.com >> click on "settings icon" >> go to "Account settings" >> Website payments >> PayPal buttons >> select "Smart Buttons" button type >> fill all the required details >> copy & paste the button code on your website with the help of your website developer.

Login PayPal.com >> go to direct link "https://www.paypal.com/buttons/" >> follow the above steps

I would suggest to please contact your website developer or the support of your third party platform(eCommerce) who can above help you add the above Smart button code on your website. 

Note : Pay Later in the UK includes the following:

• Pay in 3 - Eligible UK buyers can pay in three interest-free payments for purchases of £30 – £2,000.
• PayPal Credit - Eligible UK buyers receive a revolving line of credit that they can use to pay over time. PayPal Credit offers either 0% interest for 4 months on purchases over £99 or a merchant-specific Installment offers. For the 0% interest for 4 months offer, any remaining balance due after the promotional period or any transactions under £99 are charged interest at the standard variable rate. Terms and conditions apply.
