Having an error with Paypal Checkout & Shopify

I'm having this issue with Paypal at checkout (Shopify store), all other payment types are working.

"PayPal wasn’t available. Use a different payment method or try again later."

What could be the issue?

I am having a very similar problem, except my error message says "There was an issue processing your payment. Try again or use a different payment method." Many customers are reporting this and not a single PayPal payment has gone through today, but my Shop Pay payments are working fine.
