Ebay's new payment system and Paypal Relationship?

Ebay is making it sound like if you Don't sign up for Their new Payment system by a certain date, that you will no longer be able to list items for sale?  but they use vague wording and don't come right out and say it!   posters on the Community boards on Ebay say that PayPal and Ebay did not renew their contract and the new payment system will be the only option?   My Gut tells me there would be a lot more news about such a split between Ebay and Paypal  and I'm just not seeing it anywhere.   SO...  What's the Truth???    Thanks RT

I am very concerned about this for several reasons. It will effectively close my eBay business.

Ebay and Paypal split years ago and have been separate companies since that split.

Ebay is introducing its own payment processors now and are trying to phase out paypal.

However not sure they can ever totally do that as buyers want to use paypal.

I'm Aware that they are no longer  Sister Companies, But even after the split things have worked great for years.  Ebay is indicating that as Sellers we will no longer be able  to get payments directly to Paypal. that someone paying by Paypal will be paying Ebay's System and then Ebay forwards the funds to the Sellers Bank Account.   As a Seller on Ebay , I'm happy with the way things work now!   Most of us have Paypal accounts because we are Ebay sellers, but if No funds will be coming into the account... No real need to keep the account?   This a BIG deal, and I would hope to hear an official Statement from Paypal?   RT
