How do I refuse a payment?

I have funds from a few different sources sitting in my paypal ready to transfer.  I only see the option to accept the full balance, but I want to refuse one of the payments because it is not the right amount.  I don't see how to do that anywhere.  On the summary of activity, this transaction has a "needs attention" banner, but when I open the transaction page, I don't see any option to accept or decline.

How do I accept and transfer part of my balance without accepting all of them??  SO FRUSTRATED.

Hi @tooniebug1,

I'm sorry to hear of the confusion regarding receiving payments. If you have received a payment that is not the right amount, you have the option of refunding it and requesting that the sender send you the correct amount.

I hope this helps!

It is misleading to say that you just issue a refund.  PayPal will NOT refund the fees they took from you. This can be a considerable amount.  I just had a person send my business $1.11 for no reason at all. PayPal said 'just refund it', so I did.  PayPal KEPT $0.34 in fees.

Your best bet is to CALL PayPal and have them cancel the transaction and refund the fees to your account. Maybe if enough people clog their help lines complaining about their backdoor hand in your wallet policy they will reverse it.

Should be a reject button right next to the accept button. Way too convoluted and beneficial to PP.
