I Made A Purchase With $0.00 Balance

I recently just purchased something and chose PayPal as my payment method. I actually did this on accident thinking there was another screen where I could chose to pay with Venmo, but that was not the case. The problem is that I have no money in my PayPal account. I immediately went and checked my PayPal account and I saw the charge, but then I refreshed and it was gone with no negative balance. Apparently the charge went through somehow so my question is if it will charge the bank account associated with the PayPal account in the future instead? If it does will the charge simply show us a PayPal charge?

You never need funds in your paypal balance as a buyer, paypal automatically deducts the payment from any linked bank account or card you have confirmed to your paypal account.

If its going from your bank account then normally paypal credit the seller upfront as it may take a few hours / days to 'leave' your bank account to transfer through to paypal to reimburse them.
