Pay In 4 multiple purchases?

Am I able to have two or more "Pay In 4" purchases in my account?

I'm asking because Paypal charged me the 1st payment, then failed to pay the merchant. I  was in contact with the merchant but they said they hadn't received the funds, and would have to get back to me on Monday (closed weekends). Paypal didn't notify me that they failed to pay the merchant and I lost the Black Friday sale. Was furious about it and what's even worse is Paypal's absolute **bleep**-poor outsourced customer service does a terrible job of addressing that sort of issue it seems.
