PayPal delay using Monzo card

Can I expect there to be a delay of a few days between making a payment on PayPal and my debit card being charged? Has it ever happened instantaneously for anyone?

Please note I am NOT using PayPal credit.

Unless you are signed up to the pay after delivery payment method, there should not be a delay in your debit card being charged when checking out on PayPal. There will be a delay in your bank account being charged.

Roughly how long will the delay be? I sent some money to someone over week a ago and the money has still not been debited from my Monzo.

Did it resolve? I have similar problem, sent money by PayPal yesterday. I got confirmation of sending it and from receiver (charity) and money still sits in my account… Any help?
