PAYMENT REQUEST

Hello, I was wondering,i recently seen a item through market place on f book that I want, the sender sent request as friend family..dont think I covered on the item by paying that way,...n I haven't used pay pal for awhile but want to make sure I covered for the purchase,how or what is the way I need to ask for them to send me a money request..thanks

When you are trying to pay the money request, see if it allows you to change the payment type to "Paying for item or service", of course without completing payment. Otherwise, I would not even proceed with payment. Anytime a "seller" wants you to send funds as friends and family, is scammy at best. Or you can just send Goods and services payment though the Send & Request page if you really want to buy the item and willing to put up with trying to get your money back if they don't ship and/or gripe about you sending a goods and services payment.

Beware of Facebook sellers, Facebook does not vet them and Paypals buyer protection is never a 100% coverall.

Friends / family payments are not covered by paypal buyer protection and a lot of scammers use that option so buyer beware.

Your best bet would be for her to send you an invoice or money request FULLY DESCRIBING the item you are purchasing.

what do I need to look for once I receive a request for money to make sure it not a friend or family request..a transaction id number or?

Unless you SEND a family / friends payment OR she sends you a paypal.me personal link then the rest are goods / services payments.

AND if it is a personal paypal.me link then there is an option to tick a box before you pay to make it goods / services.

A 'money request' is not a friends/family payment its a goods/services payment.
An 'invoice' is not a friends/family payment its a goods/services payment.
'Send money > goods/services' is not a friends/family payment its a goods/services payment.
A 'business account paypal.me' is not a friends/family payment its a goods/services payment.

A 'send money > friends/family payment is a friends/family payment.
A 'paypal.me personal account' is a friends/family payment.
