Using paypal to pay for Uber rides....having issue selecting as payment method

I have UBER and want to use PayPal as payment method on my smart phone....it has PayPal as method but when I put in my information to connect PayPal to Uber it directs me to credit card screen. Please help if you can.

Uh oh! If it's not allowing you to use PayPal, it either means that Uber is blocking it being added to your account, or PayPal is stopping the payment due to our internal security detecting risk. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Why would UBER prevent me from adding as payment method; PayPal? And, how do I have UBER lift that restriction?
