PayPal Credit shows as Unavailable funding source.

I'm trying to send money for goods to an individual using PayPal credit. The system shows PayPal Credit is unavailable as a payment method with no explanation. I contacted PayPal and they said I need to contact PayPal Credit. I contacted PayPal Credit and they said to contact PayPal. Does anybody know what the issue might be?

Yeah, well the point is I don't want to use another Payment method or I wouldn't bother trying to find out why PayPal Credit isn't a choice.

I found out what the issue was. Apparently when the PayPal system detects a certain risk in the transaction due to an unknown predetermined amount, it won't allow the use of PayPal Credit as a form of payment. I played around with the amount I was sending, and in my case it flagged anything over $2500. So I made 2 separate payments that totaled the amount for the goods I was purchasing, and both payment transactions then let me use PayPal Credit as the form of payment. Nobody at PayPal or Synchrony can tell you this. The agents have very little information and can't tell you a thing beyond what you can find out on your own. This is the world we live in now. Sad.

Thanks for info about your PayPal credit issue. .. I’m finding my PayPal credit very confusing to use and there is only vague info available . I’ve followed all available instructions for use to purchase online and still am unable to use this form of payment even on PayPal credits advertised deals. It’s very strange lol! And like you mentioned customer service is useless as is online chat. Not looking forward to ai .. 😁
