Setting up Paypal Credit on Samsung Pay

I used my old phone with google pay, and it used to use my paypal credit. But when I went to Verizon to get new phones. The amounts came directly out of my bank account instead of adding it to my paypal credit balance. I've now applied for the mastercard cashback paypal credit card. And I want to make sure that everytime I choose paypal, as my purchasing method, that it comes only from that card

Welcome to the PayPal Community and thank you for your post!

When making a payment/purchase, if you don't manually select the payment method you want to use your primary one will be charged. It sounds like your bank account is currently your primary payment method on your PayPal account. 

To prevent this from happening again, I would suggest you follow the steps here to update your primary payment method. The method you choose will then be used for any future payments unless you specify otherwise.
