Setting up my debit card as a payment method for PayPal credit?

I want to use my debit card that is linked to my bank account to make payments for my PayPal credit. It's not letting me do that...Does anyone know if it has to be strictly linked to a bank? I try to go and make a payment, but it only says I need to link a bank account. Unfortunately, my main account is linked to another PayPal account that I cannot access and am trying to get access to. It was taken away by PayPal for their mistake. Anyways I want to use my debit card. I've also tried linking my savings account, but it just won't link. help 😞

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I can understand why you would like to make a repayment to PayPal Credit with a debit or credit card. At this time, you can pay your PayPal Credit repayments with PayPal balance or your bank account. We normally only recommend having one account with PayPal, so if it's possible you may want to try to condense the two into one.
