Hello everyone, last week I used PayPal's Pay in 4 option from a Ticketmaster purchase to split the cost of my ticket into four payments. The day afterwards, there was a "pending" entry in my PayPal activity for the first payment; now, however, there is no record of the transaction in my "Activity" tab, and I haven't gotten any confirmation or rejection from either PayPal or Ticketmaster. Does anybody have any idea what happened? Am I using the service incorrectly? Thanks for your help.

Looks like the order fell through and the authorization hold expired and dropped off from account activity entirely as if transaction never happened. Check your card to see whether the pending authorization also dropped off there too. Check your Ticketmaster account as well for the order. May have to make purchase again.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thank you for this, I'll check my online banking and Ticketmaster account to see if the order still shows up anywhere. If not, I'll make the purchase again and hope I don't get charged twice.

Hello! Brief update. I placed another Pay in 4 order yesterday (replicating my steps from my first attempt). So far, the process has been the same; under my "Activity" tab, it still shows up as a "Pending authorization," saying "This is a temporary authorization to make sure your payment method will cover the payment. Your payment method will be charged when Pay in 4 completes your order." I've got plenty of funds in my PayPal account (both for the first payment, and for all four payments), so this shouldn't be an issue at all.
It's been 24 hours, and I'm not sure why PayPal needs this much time (over a business day) to verify that I can cover one of the installments, or even all of the installments. At this point, I might just buy the ticket from Ticketmaster for the peace of mind of knowing that I've got my ticket.
