Star Micronics SM-S230i printer with Zettle?

I've used my SM-S230i portable receipt printer with the PayPal Here app but after switching to the Zettle app the printer doesn't print properly. It will flash the error light rapidly for some time and then sometimes it does print but it has like a weird hex dump looking at the top of the receipt and the printing is truncated on the sides. Is this printer not compatible?

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, but only Zettle accessories will work with a reader, such as a Zettle printer, barcode reader, cash drawer, etc. Please see https://www.paypal.com/us/business/pos for more information on the reader and available accessories.

Thank you for the reply. Obviously not what I wanted to hear. I was hoping since the portable one in the product accessories store is a Star printer that this one would work as well. With being just a small mom and pop shop that does mostly in person craft show sales, it's not easy to put out a couple of hundred dollars to replace something that is working fine with PayPal Here and does print with Zettle but with a delay and some truncation of the text.
