I took 4 card payments via Zettle reader on 2 March 2023, yet I discover all 4 payments have been 'reversed' back to Zettle on 5 April 2023 and around £75 (these payments total) has been deducted from my current balance on the 5 April. These contactless payments where received in good faith for services undertaken, Why have I lost these payments? Seems to be incredibly coincidental these one after the other payments would have been disputed on the same day considering there have been no other transaction disputes before or since I've been using Zettle or PayPal. Why have I lost money for no apparent reason?

We're having this problem as well. Zettle has reversed nearly every transaction we've processed in the last 48 hours
I contacted Customer Support, and they said there had been a bug where some merchants were receiving duplicate payments, and that reversals were happening simply to recoup those payments. However, we had no such duplicate payment, and our Paypal account now has a perpetually negative balance (thanks to Working Capital repayments from those transactions, then Zettle reversing every charge).
CS claimed they would put in for our account to be looked at, but so far it hasn't been fixed...and Zettle is continuing to straight up steal money out of our Paypal account.
I'm absolutely LIVID right now. This could not have come at a worse time for us, as it is our slow season and roughly 50% of our income is via cards.
Best thing I can tell you is that anyone who is having this issue needs to HAMMER customer service about it. These reversals may have initially come from a legitimate place for some accounts, but it is CLEARLY affecting other accounts and they need to be aware it's a massive issue.

@Temp20230412AWe don't use the Virtual Terminal, just the mobile card reader. Seller Protection has nothing to do with what we're talking about; this isn't about reversals or chargebacks on the customer side. Sorry about your situation, but what OP and I are talking about is a different issue.
Zettle itself apparently had a bug where they were accidentally making duplicate payments to some merchants' Paypal accounts. So they initiated something to automatically reverse/recoup those duplicate payments. The problem is that now Zettle's system is reversing payments that were NOT duplicate payments, on accounts that were NOT affected by the aforementioned bug. Basically, Zettle itself is straight up unintentionally stealing from people's Paypal accounts.
