Pay in 4 is available when shopping online for eligible transactions. Not for sending personal payments.

Ok. Last question; what about if they send me a request for money thru PayPal? Can I use Pay in 4 for that?

My answer’s coming a bit late, but for future use, if you ask the seller, they can send you an invoice through PayPal with the E-mail address belonging to your account. You can pay the invoice over time, if the seller is willing to wait.

Very late for the party here but.. can it be done that way?? can someone request I pay them through Paypal, so I can pay them with Paypal 4???

Since asking this question, I’ve had many transactions through PayPal with online shops and individual sellers alike. I can tell you that quite a few individual sellers have been gracious to me, letting me pay overtime. This method does not draw directly from Pay-in-4. In some cases, it took me two payments; in others, it was four; even other sellers, have let me make six or so payments. It all depends on agreement you and the seller can settle on.

Thanks for your answer. Just to be clear can these sellers be just a private PayPal user? Or do they have to be businesses using PayPal?
