How to properly apply the $5 gift during checkout

Hi,

I received and added to my PayPal account the $5 gift. But when I try to check out I don't see the $5. Instead, all I see is my Credit Card and PayPal Credit. Obviously, I don't want to hit Complete Purchase because my CC will be charged the full amount and I won't benefit from the $5 offer.

Please help.

I understand your concern about applying the $5 reward during purchases. Please be informed that for certain offers as described in the invitation for the offer, you must activate the offer by following the steps in the invitation prior to qualifying. To Redeem, once you have received, activated, and qualified for, the Reward will be applied automatically to the eligible purchase that qualified for the Reward. The reward must be redeemed during the offer period and may only be redeemed as described in these terms & conditions. You can go through the terms & conditions of the offer for better clarification.
