Synchrony incorrectly rejecting cashback mastercard credit application due to transunion freeze

Hi,
Synchrony keeps rejecting my paypal cashback mastercard application. Their system is showing a transunion freeze which is nonexistent. All 3 bureaus are unfrozen and all have recent hard pulls. I have called them multiple times and they refuse to take any accountability and only know how to forward your call to paypal. Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

Same experience.
Notably, my credit file *was* locked the first time I applied, but it has been unlocked every time after that. Not sure if that resulted in my account being flagged as having a locked credit file and there could be a software bug that doesn't 'reset' the flag.

To escalate this issue, call the main Paypal line [1] and ask to get transferred to 'Tech Support'. Tell them your issue and they will file an internal ticket, which could end up getting triaged and investigated by the engineering team. If enough people do that, this issue might get addressed.
