Why is the app crashing all the time?

I have not been able to use the app in over a week now, I have had the app for years and never had an issue. I have done all the things such as uninstall, reinstall, clear the cache, etc etc and nothing is working, it's becoming annoying now, anyone has any suggestions please?

Not had any trouble with mine and no other reports on the forum of a paypal glitch re the app so I would make sure your phone has the latest update installed. I would also check to ensure your PayPal app has been updated as it may be that you are using an older or outdated version.
Advice is voluntary.

I'm also having issues with the app, for me it started with hangs when logging into the OP Credit or PP MasterCard. I uninstalled/reinstalled, now hang at logging into the app at all. First issue I've had in a few years (last one was handshake issues between PP app and eBay app, which finally got fixed). Currently the app is straight up useless to me.

Thank you both for your posts! I can imagine how frustrating it is to not be able to use the app. I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering problems with it.
If the steps @kernowlass suggested are not successful in resolving the problem for you, please contact Customer Service for further troubleshooting. If the problem can't be resolved that way, a representative can forward the information specific to your situation and your account, to technicians to investigate and resolve any issues that might also be affecting others. For contact options, click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website.

I saw that the app is relying on system default browsers for login, so switched my default browser. I am really irritated having to do this just for PP to work correctly, I don't want Chrome as a default browser, but somewhere in recent PP updates in backend it's broken handshakes with Brave. I tried Brave in desktop mode, and in mobile browser mode, and both with Brave Shield off, it just hangs now after inputting password.
For the record, the help on paypal was a useless, garbled mess. It would have required calling the issue in, which I can't even presently do.

It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
