We use the bulk payouts API to send payments. We recently started using the same API to send payments via Venmo - https://developer.paypal.com/docs/payouts/standard/payouts-to-venmo/
The payouts integration works, payments send to venmo wallets via their phone number (after ~10 minutes).... but now we are having trouble tracking to individual transactions in the paypal activity dashboard. For example, a user will say they initiated a venmo payout in our app and never received it... but we have no way to look up that transaction by the venmo phone number they sent it to.
- Is there a way to specifically look up venmo payouts on our paypal.com dashboard? (or is there another dashboard we should be looking at?)
- Is there a way to get the 'transaction ID' when we send a payout? (seems we can only get 'payout batch ID' and 'payout item ID'... which don't help you trace back to a transaction in the dashboard)
Venmo payouts feature is nice, but the administrative integration to paypal seems a little sparse.
