How to collect international payment by credit and debit cards

Hi,

I am an Indian guy. I do not have registered company here, but I have registered an account as a business in PayPal. My clients are from the USA, CARIBBEAN AND EUROPEAN.
I can see in my account that I am able to collect international payments. My service is related to vacation rentals and my clients pay themself sometimes and sometimes they provide me card detail to charge payment.
Most of my clients don't have PayPal account they prefer to pay by credit cards.

Is my account is able to collect international payments?

Should I downgrade the account type business to the individual? If I downgrade the account, the payment page shows my personal name, but I want to show my website name. Is it possible?

Yesterday I got one payment declined from one of my clients.
Please show me the right way.
Thanks
Sameer Sharma

Hi Sameer,

I would recommend you to keep your PayPal as Business account, this way you could be able to process payment and have more flexibility within the integration options that we offer and customizable settings on your account.

Yes, you should be able to collect international payments, however, please keep in mind that there are some restrictions regarding the Currency:

Example:

USD transaction is not allowed between Indian buyer and Indian seller account. In order to receive payments from Indian buyers, it should be in INR, but you can receive USD payments from other countries.

Please note that Indian domestic payment must be exclusively made in INR currency. INR currency can only be process by Indian domestic payment only. International customer who tried to make payment to an Indian merchant need to process the payment in currency other than INR (example USD).

Regarding the Guest Checkout or payment by Credit Cards:

The option to checkout without creating a PayPal account depends on the country of origin and other PayPal internal system criteria that are based off the seller and the buyer account information.

This will be based on internal algorithms to minimize the risks to both PayPal and you as the merchant. So there's no guarantee that it will be displayed 100% of the time.

If you wish, you could open a ticket with us in here: https://www.paypal-support.com/s/contactsupport?language=en_US

This way, we can verify your account and integration.

Thanks,

Hope this helps!
