What does IN PROCESS mean regarding payments received?

Why is Paypal holding six eBay payments sent to me dating back to May 18th even though all six buyers received their items and left me positive feedback? All six packages had tracking numbers and all six show a DELIVERED status.

All payments are marked IN PROCESS, what does that even mean? 

I have emailed Paypal twice and tried to call with no success. Considering I have been a member for ten years with an unblemished record I am quite upset.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on this.

You're not going to like the answer.

There is a 21 day hold on payments for certain areas of ebay ( 100% for new sellers).

It's supposed to be lifted when delivery confirmation shows delivered, but they dropped the ball in your case, it seems.

You have to phone them and job their elbow or wait out the hold period.

Thanks for the reply surplusdealdude, and while I have no problem waiting 21 days two months is just insane.

I have tried to call them and after half an hour on the phone I was eventually told "Please call back during normal office hours..."

This was at 10am on a Thursday morning.

Is BP running PP these days?

Problem resolved and it was just me being thick.

The gentleman who took my call was very nice and explained everything. No worries again...

Suffice to say that Paypal was NOT holding my money, I was merely spending as fast as I was selling.

As for IN PROCESS, I still have no idea what that means. But it does not mean that the money is being held.

And eventually, if you grew as big as Walmart, there would be a "Lag" deficit of Billions floating around Paypal somewhere.

Perhaps in overnight mattress stuffing.

hey hloaudio, please do share the contact number to pay pal as am also worried about payment supposedly sent to me yesterday but, not yet received on my side ... been looking all around the website for contact us and other sensible means of contacting em but, all to my failure it seems it's gonna take longer than i expected it to pay pal is becoming more of a nuisance than something to benefit from in the end....

If you go to the Contact Us section, you can choose the option to contact by phone, it took me all of about 5 seconds for someone to answer the phone.
