Anyone know what 'payment has been initiated' means?

Hi there, has anyone come across that youve got the egg timer showing on the checkout on Ebay on a sold item and it says 'payment was initiated' but when i click on the link to view the Paypal transaction it has no record of it. There's absolutely nothing showing on my Paypal account and no emails saying things such as it has been initiated which is what happens when an e-cheque is sent. Any idea what it might mean? I've had a few problems already with this buyer, firstly not paying for 4 items, then when she paid she adjusted the invoice down herself so I had to refund her and ask her to pay the proper invoice (so I lost part of the Paypal fee on her 1st payment as Paypal don't refund that) and then she's bought something else and it's been showing only on my Ebay the payment initiated for 3 days but still no record of the transaction whatsoever on Paypal. Should I be wary? I'm obviously not posting anything yet. Thanks  🙂

You need to check the email addy you gave her to pay, was there any spelling mistakes?

Go to ebay and do a pretend sell just as far as you need to go scroll down to the payments section.

check the email addy in the paypal payments box.

Hi there, i've done that and the email address is perfect, written exactly as it should be. If she clicked on the 'pay now' link I can't see how that address could have got corrupted. Thanks for your response though, appreciated.  🙂
