Argos Cancelled Order - Payment Pending in Status - REFUND NEEDED ASAP

I ordered an item through Argos yesterday and paid thru Paypal (using their new fast track process).

 

When I went to the store to collect the item, they advised me that the item had only been reserved and not paid for, so i paid cash and went home with the item.

 

However, on checking my bank today, the same amount of £17.99 has been taken from my account and is sitting on my paypal transactions as "pending"! Having checked my emails today, I have emails from argos saying that they were unable to process the payment at time of ordering and alternative payment method would have to be used in store to collect the item. So, I have paid for this item twice, and although it says payment is pending, it has been taken from my bank and left me short! I need this refunded like, now, as its leaving me with little cash and paypal shouldnt be holding this payment anyway! The funds were obviously taken straight away but as this is a fault of either paypal or Argos, I would like a CHAPS payment back to my bank as Im not waiting til next week to get my own money back that should never have been taken in the 1st place! Please advise asap as it will not allow me to dispute the transaction either as it says error with ID. Not a happy bunny!

Normally when you pay a company the money is pending until that company collects the payment and processes the order.

 

If they don't collect it then it stays as pending until it bugs out at 30 days.

 

You can contact your bank and see if they can release the funds back to your bank account but if not you may have to wait 30 days.
