Fake Timberland Boots

I am extremely angry that I have been duped into buying a pair of fake timberland boots. The website that I purchased them from looks genuine and offers discount timberland, they include a timberland blog saying what to expect from the timberland brand and it does not say anywhere on the site that the boots are copies. The reason that I purchased the boots online is that my son has large feet a size 13w and these sizes are not easy to get on the high street. He already owns 3 pairs of genuine timbs and as soon as the package arrived I had my suspicions as it was very lightweight. The boots are of a rubbish quality, the lining is cheap and the size is very narrow and small plus they smell awful like petrol! They dont  fit despite being the same size as his others and they are synthetic material. The website is discounttimberland.co.uk but when the boots arrived they were from China.Naively I thought that they were reduced as they had a surplus of that size.I am trying to get my money back and stop anybody else from buying from this website.I have been in touch with trading standards to try and get the site closed down but as it is in China don't really know what will happen. If I paid on a credit card I could have got a full refund or from ebay a refund as they have buyer protection.I am waiting now to hear from paypal via the resolution centre. Please do not buy from this website!!!

Hi there Julieculleton,

I am sorry to hear what you have received from your seller Smiley Sad.

You have done the right thing by opening a dispute through your PayPal account and then by contacting your local trading standards office. We can provide a full refund to you if the case is found in your favour. What you may be asked for however is proof to show the items you received are not genuine Timberland boots. Once we have the proof, we can then investigate the case further for you and provide a full refund.

I hope this helps.

David.
