My credit card company say that payments via Paypal do not have the protection of section 75 because there is "no debit-credit supplier relationship" with the seller. Surely this cannot be true ? If it is it would be a major reason not to use Paypal for any significant payments.

Hi martym,
When payments are send via PayPal we offer PayPal Buyer Protection. This covers for unauthorised transaction and for items that you purchase that you do not receive or receive and are significantly not as described. For more information on our PayPal Buyer Protection please click here
I hope this helps
