It is now Feb 10th and I still have not received a 1099-K form for 2023. I went to the Tax Documents and see the one from 2022 but not 2023. When will we get them? Was PayPal given an extension until Feb 29th like Shopify?

Wondering the same thing. PP isn't very good about giving any kind of updates to it's users. Probably linked to all of the people they just layed off....

Thank you for your response, even as unhelpful as it was. I did qualify for one, hence the reason I am asking. Shopify, where I also qualified for one, already informed me they were given an extension so I thought maybe PayPal was given one too.

Welcome and thanks for posting your question in the PayPal Help Community!
I understand your concern about the Form 1099-K not reflecting in your account. You can access your Form 1099-K from January 31 in the Statements & Tax Center page of your PayPal account. If a tax Form or Statement is not listed and you still feel like you should have one, please contact PayPal Support Team for assistance.
Best wishes,
Bindu

I also have not received my 1099-K, which I DEFINITELY qualified for. Not to mention, it only takes $600 in 2023 to generate a 1099-K. I tried contacting PayPal about it and have not received a response.

The reporting threshold seems to vary from state to state:
For residents in Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, or Maryland
If you live in the following US states, you’re subject to a lower reporting threshold:
- Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland: $600 USD in gross payment volume from sales of goods or services in a single calendar year, regardless of the number of transactions.
The Form 1099-K that you receive is based on your primary address on the last day of the previous tax year. If you changed your primary address to one of these states after that date, your account activity would be captured in Form 1099-K reporting for the following tax year.

To move this issue forward, I had to call Paypal- don't bothher with the chat, its a waste of time for this issue. I was told that an internal ticket would be opened (they wouldn't provide me with at ticket number, as it was an internal ticket).[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]idering this should be about a 3 minute task, that seems a bit long.
This seems to be quite an oversight- a very simple few lines of code could have automated statements for these four states.
