Account limitation

I received the following notification from PayPal or at least it seems to be from PayPal: that I can no longer use PayPal services and that my account has been suspended due to misuse of the user agreement. And that they will be holding my money for 180 days and then at that time they will email further instructions on how to pick up my money. I don’t know about anyone else but I opened this account because I heard a lot of great things and after having the account for approx 45 days this happens and I know I did not misuse any of my user agreement. Besides I thought when things like these happen you get a detailed explanation and not some pre typed letter that is sent to everyone saying sorry Charlie.... I can’t reach anyone on the phone to try and get this resolved. Any ideas how I might resolve the problem quickly and or how to reach a live person At PayPal who can help me resolve things quickly with my account? I just seem to go round and round on the phone and get ultimately told PayPal didn’t have anyone at this time to help assist me with my problem. Any help would be appreciated to get me in the hands of a live person.... Your truly... frustrated

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

I recieved an email saying my PayPal account has been limited due to unusual activity with a card linked to my account. BUT I NOTICED that the email address it was sent from is NOT a normal paypal email address. All emails i have EVER recieved from paypal were from: <removed> this email was sent from a <removed> I also noticed when i clicked the link to login it was not the paypal login website url. I DIDN'T NOT login in from that url, i decided to use my paypal app and check out what was going on....no where did it say my account was limited or that i need to do this to fix your account. I truly believe it was a spam/fake email trying to get me to login to steal my info. ALSO when i clicked the icon to see email information it comes up with a crazyyy contact name: <removed> I am about 99% sure that the email I recieved is a scam. Again it would state in my paypal app if there is an issue but there was nothing. If you got an email like mine DO NOT sign in using the link they provided you. Check your actually paypal acct using the app or type in the actual url and check if it says anything there. I believe its a scammer trying to get into ppls paypal accounts and thats how they are doing it.

I've got the same issue, actually it arrived first a netflix mail saying that i needed to "update my current billing information", Funny enough i've never used paypal to pay netflix so i just ignored it.

Later the same day i got one just like yours, from paypal, my account was limited and i cant send money or make withdrawals, and that i should login and provide the "required information". It's probably a scam, i didn't even bothered to click the button. Also the mails for me arrived with a lot of questions marks between the words <removed>

i've moved the mails to the spam account now.

I have the same issue only I never got an email. I found out today when I went to buy something off of EBay i have had PayPal for years and have never had an issue. I didn’t think about it when my aug 1 payment didn’t come out and I haven’t done anything out of the normal with it. What makes it worse was not I can not get answers and I can not get anyone on the phone never had an issue before always easy to get through easy to resolve the issue or get the information I need. Now what?

Dear friend;

Our PayPal account suspended by PayPal about account limitation.

We opened an Ebay account in 2008 to additional income for our family, and we met PayPal in 2008 too. We didn't earn much, we just had an little additional income. But our sales gone day by day and we first closed our Ebay store and then our sales decreased day by day.

While we were trying to pay an electricity and a water bill with our sales, even if it was a little. We got shock by PayPal. PayPal directly blocked our account without any warning while we were fighting for additional income.

Everybody knows, what is account limitation. But in the PayPal message writes:

'Funds in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we’ll send you an email with instructions about withdrawing your funds.'

We patiently waited for the day when we would get our money back from PayPal. However, after 180 days, PayPal did not return our money and did not open our account too.

We have been using our PayPal account since 2008. This average is 12 years. We were a 12-year customer of PayPal. But PayPal did not send us any warning message. This system is not good. We did not receive any warning. Both our account has been closed and our money has been blocked by PayPal. My husband has been unemployed for a more than 1 year, and in the current epidemic situation, it is even more difficult for find a job. While we were trying to pay an electricity and a water bill with our sales, even if it was a little. But now everything has been gone. We need the money that PayPal confiscated. Of course this money is a little amount for PayPal. This was a lot of money for us.

When we sold items, we had kept our money in PayPal account, because of we trusted PayPal. But where is trust now

I don't know what we have to do.

I'm in the same situation.  How can they just hold our hard earned money without giving details. It's like highway robbery...

Not sure what to do know because there's no way of contacting them as all their online suggestions just loops back to useless info.  Don't know what to do!

Honestly if this is an issue for so many maybe we should look into another class action law suit against PayPal? I know they have two on going right now? Just a thought but honestly maybe the only way. I have sent the same documentation two or three time and I keep getting the same run around? Maybe a class action lawsuit is what is needed?
