I responded to an advertisement that appeared in my Facebook thread for fresh Alaskan King Crabs shipped right to your door at phenomentally low prices.
The link went to the website [Removed] Only option for payment was Paypal. It appears I got scammed out of $45. The phone numbers on the order confirmation are not working. There is no response to the email I sent to the company. It appears they are in China. Has anybody else been bitten by this scam??

After denying my claim, I called and appealed and I got my money back. I told them how the tracking number was hyjacked from Amazon. The pkg with that number went to the right person at the right address and it was only 2 lbs.

I am happy to report that after denying my claim and closing the case - with me subsequently screaming at PayPal on the phone and accusing them of NOT doing due diligence with my case and story and carefully looking at my evidence - This Morning they APPROVED my allegations and are giving me a refund. This was a very aggravating experience for me - and all of you guys too - and a terrible reflection of both Facebook for allowing this seller to perpetuate the scam AND Paypal for making us work so hard outside the lines to prove we were wronged. Thank you all for your comments which proved to me that there is a common pattern to this scam, especially the **bleep** Fedex Tracking number the scammer gives which was not my package nor was it delivered to my address. The seller seems to do that to buy more time and roll the dice that PayPal will weigh in their favor over time. Which they did and it was a hassle to get them to open up the case again.

PayPal really should look carefully at tracking numbers that are presented as evidence of delivery in disputed transactions, especially for "sellers" that accumulate a lot of disputes. How many disputes does it take for PayPal to recognize a pattern of fraud? In a transaction I disputed, the tracking number presented as "proof of delivery" was not the same tracking number e-mailed to me by PayPal when the item was supposedly shipped. There was no excuse for PayPal to overlook that discrepancy, because all of the information is within the PayPal system. Also, it would not be hard for PayPal to arrange with shipping companies like FedEx and UPS to obtain basic information for tracking numbers, to see if the name and addresses of a recipient match the buyer.
