I opened a dispute as I paid through PayPal and haven’t received my goods. But the vendor is not responding? How long should I wait

You should escalate to a claim within 20 days from payment date or PayPal will close case automatically as “no contest”. However PayPal often require that at least 7 days have passed since the payment date to escalate.

Because there was no response from the seller it wouldn’t give me the option to escalate to a claim. PayPal was about to close the case assuming it was resolved I had to go back and complain again.

Seller not responding has nothing to do with you not being able to escalate.

If that was correct then every seller would not respond and the claim process would be pointless.

Perhaps it was my fault then ? I ordered some hair products and paid £39 via PayPal, I haven’t received a copy of my order or any shipping confirmation nothing from them at all. I opened a dispute via PayPal and it says no reply from seller we will close the dispute. So I contacted PayPal again and I’m still waiting for a response from the seller so they have till 9th feb ??

Did you open a dispute for non receipt of item or another option?

If non receipt then you should get the escalate option 7 days post payment onwards.

If you don't have it then contact customer services and ask them to escalate it for you?

Do not let it time out which it will automatically do at 20 days post -opening the dispute.
