Paypal not responding. How can I get someone to answer?

I asked for a resolution for a product I bought on Etsy because afgter multiple emails there the seller woulnd't respond.
Did the resolution route via paypal. Seller still didn't respond.
Took it to the next level with paypal (Dispute I think?)
Now I am not hearing from paypal! Can't fdind anyway to contact them. Tried the chat, that dfidn't work as the bot said it was "still learning"
Feeling like I will never get this solved.
HELP!!

Sorry to hear about the issue with your purchase. I understand your concern about the seller not responding to the dispute. When you open a dispute with PayPal, you have 20 days to resolve it with your seller. If the seller is not responding or you can't come to a resolution. you can escalate the dispute to claim.
PayPal will intervene at the claim phase, review the information and decide the outcome. Depending on how seller and buyer responds to the dispute, it may take up to 30 days for PayPal to decide the outcome. You can always check the updates and status of the dispute in the resolution center of your PayPal account. I did escalate to claim. I had to do this one time a few years ago... I heard back within a week or so fom paypal. It has now been two weeks and nothing. I am very afraid I am going to loose almost $100 because it seems like nothing is happening. I find it odd to have zero contact from paypal re the claim. Is it typical for them not to contact me until there is a resolution?
I have tried to find some way to talk or online chat. It seems from what you say that I must have the app in order to reach a message center to talk to someone. Is this true?
What happens if after 30 days Paypal doesn't contact me? What is my recourse?

Welcome back! Great question. Normally, it takes around 14 days for PayPal to reach a decision once a dispute is escalated to a claim. Some cases may take up to 30 days or potentially longer, but most are taken care of within 2 weeks. If PayPal needs any information from you or has any updates, you should normally see them within your Resolution Center and via the primary email on your account.
