I was scammed by a buyer which PayPal straight away sided with the buyer when the buyer came to buy my vehicle i showed him everything that was required to right the vehicle but he then said the vehicle was faulty to PayPal i lost 4 thousand pounds with them siding with him with no investigation on me giving the buyer the option to go ahead with what needed fixing and agreed to buy it i heard of people always abusing the system people will even offer to buy your item if you don't do the money transfer through PayPal they won't buy the item just so they can get money back its not fair something needs to be done about this it put me into really hard times on my wellbeing and my pocket I never got any help from PayPal I just don't know how they can do that to someone who's abiding by all the rules never forced him to buy my vehicle and lost all my money for my new work vehicle

Could not have been a paypal dispute as there is no buyer OR seller protection for motor vehicles on paypal.

So if your buyer got a refund then he must have filed a chargeback directly via his card issuer.

The chargeback process is external to the PayPal system. The buyer's credit card issuer grants its members specific consumer protection which PayPal has no authority to replace or reduce. If a PayPal user initiates a chargeback with their credit card company Paypal have no way of stopping the claim. The card company would make all decisions.

Never accept paypal for a motor vehicle as it clearly states you are not protected in their seller protection policy.

Always cash or bank transfer in my opinion is best for that type of sale.
