Unhappy Closed Case

I purchased an item from a China Seller, when the item arrived it was nothing like what was displayed on their website.  I contacted seller who said to return item.  I returned the item and then they refused to allow UPS China to deliver the item.  I started a dispute with PAYPAL Resolution and provided Paypal with ALL the information to assist me in claiming back my money, after the seller threatened to make it so difficult for me to get my money.  Paypal close the case, stating that I did not provide any information on tracking the goods.  I provided everything even the text threats from the Seller.  I am appalled and so disappointed with PAYPAL and will not use their service again!!..

I have been with Paypal for many many years and feel that they are obligated to HELP their customers resolve these issues with the sellers who want to 'SCAM' peoples money.  I am a retired single person and cannot afford to lose that kind of money..

Did you open a dispute for item received but not as described?

Did you escalate to a claim?

Did you win?

Did you provide paypal with trackable proof of delivery of the item to the seller?

If not then you may well not get a refund.

So you would need to contact customer services and explain that you did everything that was asked of you but the item could not be delivered?

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

I bought an item through PayPal. A bag. I later sold it on eBay. That buyer went to sell it and eBay would not authenticate it. Meaning it was fake. My buyer is demanding their money back. I opened a case today asking for a refund. It was closed in five minutes due to jt being over 189 days! So the seller keeps their money. How is that buyer protection.

Buyer protection covers you for up to 180 days post purchase.

That is a lot longer than most credit cards give you.

May be you should have checked authenticity before listing it for sale?

I thought I was covered if it was counterfeit. Not that I just changed my mind. Yes i obviously should have had it authenticated.

Yes you may well have been covered if you had opened a dispute for 'item received but not as described' within 180 days of payment which is how long Paypals buyer protection policy covers you for.

I asked the person that’s wanting me to refund their money to open a case against me. I said it’s probably going to be denied like mine since it’s been over 180 days. I was going to use my refund to give her back her refund. It just makes me look shady. Such a mess.
