Someone transferred money to me from a business account, but he said he needed Bitcoin authentication. Is this true? Because it's the first time accepted him to transfer money from a business account and receive international payments

Hello @phyllllll

Welcome to the PayPal Community!

I understand that someone has asked you to send them Bitcoin to receive a payment and upgrade your account. I apologize for the concern this has caused, and I'm glad you have not proceeded with this transfer. This is not a legitimate request. You will never need to pay any sort of upfront fee, even in Bitcoin, to receive payments or make changes to your account. You can learn how to verify your account to receive payments on our Help Center by following the hyperlinks I've included for you. You can also learn how to upgrade to a business account if you have a registered business. To learn more about common scams, please visit this Help Center article: What are common scams and how do I spot them? It is a US article, but the information applies to everyone.

I hope this information helps!
