Hello,
I run a mobile game, and we receive money from people playing the game to cover server costs and show their appreciation for the time some of us spend to keep it fresh and make updates.
People do receive cosmetics and in-game resources in return, and we handle them as transactions for virtual goods.
What now happened, a person who sent money 9 different times over 2 months has opened all of them as cases and wants his money back.
I saw that one case was closed in his favor because I failed to provide the proof that PayPal wants that the person received virtual goods.
I don't understand how this is possible:
- The case was seemingly looked at individually, because the other once are still open
- The person kept coming back over a span of 2 months (November-December) and kept sending money
- He requests a money refund in February, and it is granted, two months later!?
I have the complete Discord chat history, where he states his name and email registered with PayPal. Obviously, I cannot provide anything else besides screenshots of that because he just received codes in the chat, and he redeemed them on the game server in-game.
What am I supposed to do? Because basically, anyone can just claim the money back anytime he wishes, although the service was carried out. This is the first time I am facing this dilemma.
